We are preserving a living language, carried by people, families, and communities.
Voice first
Original native-speaker audio is the primary source. A spelling never stands in for a voice.
Never overwrite
Original media remains unchanged. Every edited transcription has a recoverable revision history.
Uncertainty is allowed
Unknown is more honest than an invented answer. Uncertain meanings and missing evidence are labeled.
Dialects matter
Different speakers and communities keep their distinct forms. We do not merge language traditions into a standard.
Attribution & identity
Every voice belongs to a person. Identity is documented in the speaker’s own words, never assigned by geography.
Testimony and research, side by side
Personal memories remain personal testimony. Academic notes, translations, and historical sources are separate layers.
